Scholarly Communications and IT support

Scholarly Communications staff manage Smithsonian Research Online which includes both the Smithsonian Digital Document Repository (using DSpace) and the Smithsonian Research Bibliography.  Smithsonian Research Online (or SRO) seeks to capture the research output of Smithsonian scholars and make it available to Institutional management as well as scientists and historians world-wide

This department is also responsible for coordination of services with the central Smithsonian IT office.
