The Margery F. Masinter Endowment for the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Library

Librarian in stacksMargery and Edgar Masinter donated funds to establish the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Library.   This endowment has been used to supplement general acquisition funds for the purchase of design and decorative books for the Cooper-Hewitt National Design library.  Librarians and researchers studying manuscripts

In past years, the endowment has funded several hundred much needed design books especially in the area of 20th century decorative arts & design subjects – a special interest of the donors.  On occasion, Masinter funds have also been used to obtain special collection materials and to fill in gaps in our journal holdings.
