The Smithsonian Libraries Society was founded to further the Libraries’ highest priorities and to recognize those donors who generously support us on an annual basis. Funds contributed to the Libraries Society will build a strong foundation to support the Libraries in our efforts to raise awareness of us as an international center for scholarship, increase access to our collections through digitization, and continue to be an indispensable part of the Institution.

Become a part of the Smithsonian Libraries Society today and join a group of dedicated, like-minded individuals passionate about promoting new ideas through knowledge sharing and discovery. Your participation will include exclusive access to opportunities, including invitations to events with noted luminaries, behind-the-scenes tours, and early access to exhibitions.

Your support is vital as we advance our vision to become a world-renowned center for scholarship in history, art, culture, and science. Thank you for being a part of our legacy.

The collections are amazing: over 2 million books, manuscripts, maps, prints, paintings, research data, and physical artifacts.
