Bruce Lisman

Bruce LismanBruce Lisman began his career in New York’s financial district as a file clerk. He moved through the ranks to become Co-Head of Global Equities at Bear Stearns Companies, a position he held for twenty years. In 2009 he retired from JP Morgan Chase & Co as Chairman of their Global Equities Division.

Over the years, Bruce has served on the boards of The Hewitt School, Pace University, University of Vermont (Chairman), HS Broadcasting, and BRUT Inc. A long-time environmentalist, Bruce is involved in a joint effort with Preservation Trust of Vermont to replenish the tree canopy in Vermont’s communities and also served on the Board of the American Forests and he is a founding partner of “Campaign for Vermont.” Bruce has been a supporter and board member of many institutions, such as the Shelburne Museum, Vermont Symphony Orchestra, National Life, and Merchant Bancshares Corporation.

A lifelong bibliophile and book collector, Bruce resides in Shelburne, Vermont.
