Margaret Weichert

Margaret is a visionary leader with a track record of leading transformational change in complex operating environments. Her background includes strategy, marketing, operations and P&L experience in multi-national corporations, large government agencies, start-ups, and non-profits. A FinTech innovator and inventor with deep experience in “new economy” business models, Margaret has been granted fourteen patents. As an entrepreneur who started her own company and sold it to First Data (now part of FISERV), Margaret has proven experience leveraging technology to drive business results. An executive with broad global understanding, Margaret has direct experience in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Africa. She has also had unprecedented success in leading transformational change in government. Specific government success stories include restructuring inefficient government agencies including the Office of Personnel Management, Department of Interior, and Department of Agriculture. She also created an innovative public-private partnerships including the Government Effectiveness Applied Research Center (GEAR Center) to drive capital investment and innovation in data, human capital and financing of new technologies and capabilities. She also led the Federal response to COVID-19 workforce, telework, procurement & grants modifications.

Margaret has served on the Advisory Board of Sovereign Bank Merchant Services, Member of the Georgia FinTech Adivsory Board, Executive Chair of the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency, and Chair of the Performance Accountability Council.

Margaret earned her BS from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, Postgraduate Diploma in Economics from the University of Sussex, Brighton (UK), and her MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of California at Berkeley. She is certified as a Six Sigma Greenbelt and Design for Six Sigma. She speaks English, Spanish, German, and French.
