Nick is an accomplished corporate leader and a Retired Senior Principal from Deloitte's Risk & Financial Advisory Services practice. His perspective and business acumen were gained from diverse experiences as a COO, working engineer, military commander, and financial, turnaround, and risk advisor for domestic and multi-national organizations, as well as private equity. As an advisor to these entities, he worked across all stakeholder groups, providing them an integrated viewpoint on operational, financial, risk, talent, and performance improvement issues.

As a former business unit and client/industry leader, Nick developed and led the strategy for three successful service offerings at Deloitte, helped formulate go-to-market initiatives, held P&L, operations, and industry leadership roles, and oversaw talent development, growth, and client satisfaction responsibilities. As a military officer, and a Regional Managing Principal (RMP), and COO at Deloitte, Nick oversaw the turnaround, revitalization, and transformation of various business units that were the equivalent of being “bankrupt” or in “financial distress” into businesses that met or exceeded plan with a strategy for future growth and succession. In his 35 years at Deloitte, he led and advised clients on transaction structuring, M&A negotiations and due diligence, intellectual property monetization, financial analysis, dispute resolution and litigation support.

Nick serves as Chairman of the National Advisory Board for Peer Forward (formally College Summit), a nonprofit focused on fostering a college-going culture in high schools for low-income students. He also serves on the audit and finance committee.

He is a graduate of Hofstra University with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering; Columbia University with a master’s degree in Industrial Management & Economics; New York University with an advanced professional certificate in Tax and Finance; and Harvard Business School with a certificate in leading Professional Services Firms. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and the Senior Accredited Appraiser designation (ASA) in Business Valuation from the American Society of Appraisers. Nick is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
