152. Physical Optics
Young was a physician by trade who became interested in, among other things,
the nature of light and color. In this famous article, he discusses his
experiments on light and how two light beams can constructively and
destructively interfere with each other. This work put the wave theory of
light on a solid experimental ground. This article is the text of the
Bakerian Lecture for 1801.
