Web Services and IT Support

The Web Services and IT department is responsible for creation and maintenance of the technical infrastructure for the Libraries' websites and blogs which includes digitized collections, exhibitions, and data that are part of the Digital Library. Web Services also provides programming and other computing support for special projects and technical support for the Libraries' social media activities which are implemented by a pan-library group. We have some side projects and are pleased to be able to make the majority of our collections data available for download and reuse.

We also support the special information technology needs of the Libraries' staff in coordination with the central Smithsonian IT office.
