Originally from North Carolina, Sara has been living in D.C. since 2008. After graduating with a B.A. in Art History from UNC-Chapel Hill, Sara worked as a guest historian at the Museo Oaxaqueno in Oaxaca, Mexico. She continued her studies at Tufts University receiving her M.A. in Art History and Museum Education, while working at the MFA-Boston. Since moving to the District she has worked in Museum Education at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, The National Building Museum, Brent Elementary School, and the Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center prior to joining Smithsonian Libraries and Archives in 2015 to create the Education Department.
