The Smithsonian preserves and promotes America’s history and memorializes our rich cultural heritage, and the Smithsonian Libraries plays a key role in doing so. Through our diverse and extensive collections and our expert librarians, we enable each Smithsonian museum to foster a more profound shared human experience by studying and sharing various aspects of our nation’s history and culture.
On Wednesday, October 7, we’re giving you the special opportunity to learn more and “Ask a Librarian Live” with librarians from some of our history and culture branches.
Elayne Silversmith (Vine Deloria, Jr. Library for the National Museum of the American Indian) and Baasil Wilder (Anacostia Community Museum Library and National Postal Museum Library) will share how they support the mission and work of the museums that they’re embedded in, and they will answer your questions.
