Chanda Hardin

Library Technician

Chanda Hardin is a Library Technician for the National Museum of African American History and Culture. As such, Chanda provides circulation services, assists with collection processing and management, and assists the reference librarian with research queries from museum staff and outside researchers. She considers herself a resource management rock star, lives by the mantra “Books are for use” and enjoys smelling books, weeding books, and selecting new and exciting books to replace what was no longer being used. Chanda has not yet worked in libraries 10 years and already has worked her way from a library aide to an assortment of various jobs in library science before joining the Smithsonian Institution.
