Trina Brown

Head Librarian

Trina is the head librarian for the National Museum of American History (NMAH) Library, overseeing research services and library collections covering all topics related to American history and culture. Trina originally joined the Smithsonian Libraries in 2011 as the instruction librarian, and library instruction remains a strong focus for her.  Other interests include American history and culture (of course), art history, research support, reading and collecting books (of course), film history, buying art supplies (and sometimes using them). 

Prior to the NMAH Library, Trina worked at Davis Graduate Library, UNC-Chapel Hill; the Smithsonian American Art and Portrait Gallery Library; the Urban Institute Library; and the Foundation Center.
