The book of lawn furniture : dedicated to those who wish to make their lawns whether large or small just a little more alluring

By Long-Bell Lumber Co.. Kansas City, MO: Long-Bell Lumber Co., 1941, c1934.

The photos of the garden furniture shown in this book inspire ideas that make it easy to beautify the home grounds with attractive outdoor woodwork. Published by a lumber company, this isn’t a trade catalog of ready-made furniture, but rather a pattern book in the Cooper Hewitt Library. It recommends that you “Show the illustrations you like to your lumberman and he will be glad to recommend the proper wood and a carpenter to build the furniture. Thus you can duplicate any of the furniture shown.” Or you could obtain plans for some of the furniture by contacting the Long-Bell Lumber Co. Chairs, pergolas, garden seats, and tree seats are all demonstrated examples of how to furnish the outdoors.
