Large folio sized French illustrated children's book recounting the story oft Joan of Arc.
Condition and Treatment:
The cover is soiled and the spine torn. The front page is detached and the clay coated pages of text are extremely brittle. The first title page is detached and has areas of loss along the bottom edge. The main title page also has areas of loss but remains attached to a tab.
Conservators will dry clean the cover using eraser crumbs. The detached pages will be re-attached and the areas of loss repaired.
