1930 Style Book : Certified Fadeproof Wall Paper

This rare folio-size trade catalog from Sears, Roebuck and Company features more than 80 patterned wall papers and borders from the year 1930.  The Chicago-based company was formed in 1887 and began issuing wallpaper sample books for mail order sales as early as 1900.  The use of lightfast colors in wallpaper printing, introduced in 1928, resulted in a more durable, fadeproof product. Sears guaranteed that their wallpapers would “stay fresh and unfaded for 3 to 5 years!”
