Forget-Me-Not, or, The Philipena

A compilation of love poems published in a miniature volume still in its original beautifully decorated red binding. The gilt floral motifs and gilt edges make this piece an attractive example of mid-nineteenth-century book binding. The text of the book is also carefully printed: the type setting and the ornamental decoration are both pleasing to the eye. The content must have been very close to the heart of the creator of this volume.
