Issued as 14 separate portfolios with paper covers and views included in lists on back covers. "The magnificent water and landscape effects and charming vistas made realistic by authentic reproduction in all of the colors of nature and art under the direction of the celebrated landscape artist, John R. Key. From photographs made by authority of the Director-General, for the United States Government, and by Special Artists employed expressly for this work. Each view accompanied by a graphic and accurate description."
 

Condition and Treatment: 

Set of 16 staple-bound pamphlets; 13 with detached covers, most with tears and areas of loss. The covers will need to be reattached with hinges made of Japanese paper, adhered with wheat starch paste. The numerous tears will be mended and losses filled with Japanese paper and wheat starch paste. A new protective drop spine box will be constructed to protect the items when shelved.
