How to Survive in the New Media Ecology

Lee Rainie is  director for the Pew Internet and American Life Project., and delivered this lecture as part of the Future of Library, Archives and Museums series on December 11, 2009.

Rainie has co-authored two books, Up for Grabs, Hopes and Fears and Ubiquity, Mobility, Security. He is currently writing Networked: the New Social Operation System, about the social impact of the Internet and cell phones. Rainie is the director of the  Pew Internet & American Life Project, a non-profit, non-partisan “fact tank” that studies the social impact of the Internet. The Pew Internet Project issues reports studying how people’s Internet use affects their families, communities, health care education, civic and political life and work places.
