The Smithsonian Libraries will open “Come Together: American Artists Respond to Al-Mutanabbi Street,” at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery Library Feb. 1. “Come Together” will be on display through March 30.

The Smithsonian Libraries unveils a new exhibition, “Color in a New Light,” at the National Museum of Natural History beginning Feb. 4. “Color in a New Light” will be on display through March 2017.

The Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) has selected the “Biodiversity Heritage Library Field Notes Project” for a 2015 Digitizing Hidden Special Collections and Archives award. The award of $491,713 will help support increased accessibility to original scientific documentation found in archival field notes in participating institution collections.
